Tom Stevens Original Oils and Limited Edition Prints.

Biography

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I studied watercolor as a boy. I followed that by studying oils for four years as a young man under Mr. Shaw Scates in New England.

I earned various non-art degrees and then concentrated on raising our family and earning a living as an urban public school Teacher, then as a high school Principal and later as the CIO of a large public organization.

I am now retired from my earlier professions and work as a full time artist in Colorado.

In the nineteen-eighties I began experimenting with the emerging digital art processes.  In those formative years of digital art I was published, juried, and recognized in both national and international digital art forums.

I teach “Digital Tools for Artists” and “Electronic Painting” to adult artists at The Art Student League Of Denver.

Among my recent art installations was a 16 piece acquisition by the Delta Dental Insurance Company for their national headquarters corporate collection.

I am currently working on four long-term art projects. One is about urban living called "The Inner Mansions series." another other is about living on the Colorado plains called "The Colorado Prairie series," also a series about mountain living called "Mountain Skies." Finally I am working on a series about the canyons and rivers I have traveled, called "Canyons and Rivers."

I work in both digital and oil formats.
